Ministers under the out gone administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, has denied allegations that they where all corrupt.
According to the former ministers in the Goodluck Jonathan administration, they did well in office, and were not corrupt.
The former ministers, defended their porfomance yesterday in a statement by the former minister of National Planning, Mr Abubakar Suleiman.
“Contrary to what the APC and its agent will rather have the public believe, the Jonathan administration, did not encourage corruption, rather it fought corruption vigorously within the context of the rule of law, and due process.” Mr Suleiman said.
The former ministers, also reaffirmed their readiness to be probed by the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, saying
“We encourage President Muhammadu Buhari, to continue with the probe, but this must be in accordance with his oath of office, to treat all Nigerians equally and with the fear of God.”
According to Mr Suleiman, amongst the Anti-corruption successes of the Jonathan administration, include the prevention of Billions of Naira from being stolen under the subsidiaries in Government Fertilizer scheme, he also lifted the development of Government integrated financial management platform, a single treasury account, and the integrated personal and payroll management system.
