Well its no longer news across the footballing world, the tale of Jose Mourinho banning the duo of Eva Carneiro and John Fearn, who are supposedly the club Doctor and head Physio respectively.
During the match against Swansea, Jose Mourinho was furious with the duo after they went on to the pitch to administer treatment to Eden Hazard who was knocked down by Swansea’s Ashley Williams. That decision didn’t seam to go down well with the Chelsea boss, as he was caught on Camera yelling at both of them.
Thou in some regards, the Chelsea boss was right, as Chelsea was already one man down, as Thibaut Courtois Was given matching orders after bringing down Gomis, a situation which put Chelsea a man down to Swansea’s eleven. And taking Eden Hazard out in the situation he was taken, will only lead to more exposure to Swansea’s counter attacks putting Chelsea at the back foot. I won’t also take anything from Eva Carneiro and John Fearn as it is good to put the safety of individuals over results as that is their duty as medical staff of the club.
After the game, Jose Mourinho branded his medical staff “impulsive and naive”, claiming that they did not understand the game.
According to many online outlets, that decision has cost Carneiro and Fearn their positions in Chelsea’s match day arrangements, a report many has come out to criticise.
Looking at Mourinho’s record, he will do anything to take the pressure off his team before any big game. And seeing that Chelsea are going to pitch up against rejuvenated Manchester city, it makes me to ask this simple question. Are all this a form of mind games to distract the media from the real deal?.
Whatever the case may/might be, both parties owe each other an apology.
