The man whose name, was given as James Claveley Evans, was snared by an undercover police officer, after Evans, had claimed to be with a young girl.
James Claveley Evans, who downloaded indecent photos of young girls, had no idea that he was in communication with an undercover police officer.
Sentencing Evans at Caernarfon Crown Court, Judge Rhys Rowlands told him: ”These are extremely serious and disturbing offences
committed as charged in February and March and which involved you not only accessing vile images of young children but also sending some on to others together with the attempt to arrange sexual activity which thankfully came to nothing.
“I have read the nature of the communications. They started with you asking to be sent photographs of two young girls.” He added:
“The nature of what you were
suggesting doesn’t bear repetition, suffice to say it shows seriously depraved thinking on your part.”
Evans, who was a PC with North Wales Police, pleaded guilty to the offense.
“The court is faced with a man whose disgrace is complete. He has indulged in lurid and disgraceful behaviour.” Defence barrister Alisdair Williamson said
